Legal Clinic Sessions

  • First clinic session – 30 March 2015

An outreach clinic session was held on the 30th of March 2015 at the refugees’ camp in the 5-mile area of Basra.

The session gathered around 60 participants from the refugees. During the session, an overview on the importance of access to justice has been provided to the participants. The session also highlighted the refugees’ rights and the availability and types of the legal services at the help desk office.

At the end of the session, some legal consultations and advises have been provided to the displaced and refugees.

  • Second clinic session – 9 April 2015

An outreach clinic session was held on the 9th of Apr. 2015 at the refugees’ camp in Al-Kaziza area of Basra.

The session gathered around 50 participants from the refugees. During the session, an overview on the importance of access to justice has been provided to the participants. The session also highlighted the refugees’ rights and the availability and types of the legal services at the help desk office.

  • Third clinic session – 12 May 2015

An outreach clinic session was held on the 12th of May 2015 in cooperation with the committee of citizen’s affairs of Basra district.

The session gathered around 50 participants including legal professionals, CSOs representatives, and activists in the field of human rights and social affairs. During the session, an overview on the importance of access to justice has been provided to the participants. The session also highlighted the citizens’ legal rights and the availability and types of the legal services at the help desk office.
